The SEG
Research Committee has the following goals and objectives:
- Foster
research for the benefit of the Society,
- Help
disseminate the results of relevant research,
- Advise
and make recommendations of matters involving research,
- Interact
with other committees and societies on research issues to ensure
integration,
- Provide
new ways in which the Society and its members could be served,
- Promote a
balanced treatment of applied technology, short term and long
term research,
- Assist
the industry and government entities on decisions regarding
research funding.
